GSO opens the door for participation in the Gulf Encyclopedia

HE Mr. Nabil bin Amin Mulla, Secretary General of the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO), has stated that GSO intends to implement the second version of the Gulf Encyclopedia of certified bodies in management systems in GSO member states, after the success of the first version, issued in 2010.
His excellency said that GSO aims to highlight the benefits of obtaining certification of management systems in the areas of quality, environment, food safety, information security, customer service. It also focuses on the positive impact of the certifications and show the efforts of enterprises in GSO member states (UAE, Bahrain, KSA, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Yemen) for obtaining such certifications, and encourage other parties, whether governmental or private, to take the initiative to obtain those certifications in their respective areas of work which will result in improving performance and reduceing costs of production, protection and safety of workers, and increase the competitiveness of its products and services.
GSO intends through this encyclopedia to shed light on the significant role of the participant enterprises and highlight the quality of their products and services as a result of their application to the certifications management standards. In addition, the availability of information about these enterprises to other will help them in marketing theirproduct and services which will result in increasing their market share, and help them achieve their goals.
GSO stresses that it will make this encyclopedia in electronic format and hard copies and will ensure its wide publication to all relevant parties (government, commercial attaches, chambers of commerce, industry federations, service, commercial and industrial companies, and individuals) through all GSO activities, its members and postal distribution.
GSO requests all those enterprises which obtained certification to any of the management systems to take the initiative to register in the Gulf encyclopedia.
